Selena Gomez sparks speculation that she is ENGAGED to Benny Blanco (2024)

Selena Gomezand Benny Blanco are at the center of engagement rumors after eagle-eyed fans noticed that she hid her ring finger in her latest Instagram post.

Speculation that the couple, whostarted quietly dating midway through 2023, are planning to tie the knot hit an all-time high following her decision to share a mirror selfie, in which her left hand was strategically covered by a pink heart emoji.

In the snap, which she uploaded to her Instagram Story on Thursday, the Only Murders In The Building actress, 32, looked chic in a champagne dress.

'Night out,' she captioned the photo, featuring her man, 36, in the background.

Her emoji placement immediately drew attention from fans, who rushed on X (formerly Twitter) to share their theories that the Rare Beauty founderpopped the question.

'Selena Gomez announcing she's engaged by intentionally trying not to announce that she's engaged-,' one X user declared.

Another wrote: 'I think Selena Gomez just got engaged bc why is she covering her left hand on her latest IG story?'

'She's def engaged [sobbing emoji],' a third predicted.

The post comes after gossip site, DeuxMoi, shared a 'tip' that the Grammy nominee 'got engaged over the weekend' while 'surrounded by friends at their usual beach house hang out' earlier this month.

In May, Gomez revealed that she planned to adopt a child herself if she hadn't met the right partner by age 35.

'I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it,' Selena said at the Time 100 Most Influential Companies event.

'A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it.

'Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone,' she said.

Last year, however, she met Blanco, who she described as the love of her life last month.

While appearing on Howard Stern's SiriusXM show earlier this year, Blanco called Gomez 'the coolest, the nicest, [and] the sweetest.'

'She's truly just like my best friend … we laugh all f***ing day,' she revealed.

When he was asked about having kids, Benny said: 'That's my next goal [to check] on the box. I have a lot of god kids, I've got a ton of nephews. I love being around kids.'

Howard then asked Benny when he was going to ask the Wizards of Waverly Place star to marry him.

'When I look at her, I do say, I'm always just like, "I don't know a world where it could be better than this,"' he gushed.

Later, Howard said he predicted marriage in their future, and Benny replied, 'You and me both.'

When asked about his comments about marriage and children at theTime 100 Event, Gomez said: 'He can't lie to save his life. If he's asked a question, he'll answer it.'

'I just cherish every moment with him. I don't know what the future holds, but I do know that he's not going anywhere any time soon.'

A source recently told ET: 'They are excited at the idea of continuing to grow together and get closer.'

They also added that 'Benny thinks Selena is so amazing,' and she 'loves that Benny wants the best for people and is protective of her.'

By the sounds of it, they also have the support of loved ones. 'They make each other happy and their friends and family are thrilled for them,' the insider stressed.

The Come And Get It singer went public with Blanco in December, revealing that they had been secretly dating for six months.

Previously, the Wolves songstress dated The Weeknd, Zedd, Nick Jonas, Taylor Lautner and was linked to a number of other stars, including Zayn Malik.

She also had an on-and-off relationship with Justin Bieber that spanned eight years, before they called it quits in 2018.
