I'm wanting to increase how often I wear diapers (not quite 24/7 but close to it) but between finances and the fact that I don't yet feel fully comfortable wearing an ABDL diaper in public (except for going to the convenience store), I'm thinking of going with pull-ups during the day. I live near an ALDI which sells a pack of adult pull-ups for £4 and they get good reviews so I'm going to buy them tomorrow.

What's it like wearing pull-ups? Are they more discreet than the tape-on diapers?

many have described them as granny panties I personally don't use pull-ups due to the fact they don't offer enough protection for my needs

I use the Northshore pull-ups. They are comfy and hold more than most. Check them out.

I've worn pullups outside on multiple occasions (like: the dentist, shopping, internship and just other stuff you do outside.) I don't think people can really tell as long as they are even remotely close to the thickness of what I wore. Could probably just put some boxer shorts over them and no one would be the wiser.

Disclaimer: the pullups I used were those cheap pullup thingies, no thickness at all so to speak.

The Aldi ones are pretty good. I'll often wear them on days that I want to wear, but don't necessarily want to wet. I just enjoy the feeling of having that protection. They're descreet enough that no one would ever notice, theyll hold one good wetting, or several smaller ones.

I wear pullups during the day but they don't hold alot. I normally go through 3 pullups a day and then put on a diaper after I wet my third

If you’re going to use Pull-Ups, Aldi are the ones to get.

They are either a one full wet product or something you can use to empty your bladder into “little and often”.

Just don’t expect them to hold multiple full on floods, and you’ll be fine.

I've also tried Tena Pants Super pull-ups, I'd say they can hold up to two good wettings (not huge wettings) or little and frequent spurts. I sometimes wear them to work too, as I'm not used to wearing diapers at work and my bladder often gets shy there. They're comfortable for me because they give me a chance to use the toilet if I'm afraid of leaks or whatever.

Yeah the tena slip ons are comfy and soft but will only hold like 2 medium wettings. I love goodnites but I usually don't buy them because they won't fit my partner. Pullups are more discrete than tape but as others have mentioned they aren't as effective or satisfying from a dl perspective.

I don’t like the look or feel of any adult pull ups I’ve tried but I love goodnights and luckily I can still just barely fit into the XL ones. If I plan to actually wet them not at home I’ll put a thick poise pad in them as they really don’t hold more than one wetting

I use drylife maxi pull ups when out and about. They're a lot more discreet and comfortable enough.
The claimed capacity is 2200 ml, so enough for two big wettings.

Thin diapers will be more discrete and less likely to leak than pull-ups. Wet pull-ups have a really noticeable crotch bulge that will basically make you waddle once they get really wet. Even a cheap diaper will wick more than a decent pull-up, because with pull-ups the padding is all in the crotch. In my experience people are way more likely to notice you walking funny from a wet pull-up between your legs than the the bulge from a wet diaper. If your actually going to be using them and changing to avoid leaks, diapers will probably be more affordable too. I'm incontinent and for running errands or exercise I still sometimes wear the plastic-backed Attends (with three tapes) that alot of ABDL people seem to hate for being to thin. But they work and they're cheap and I can get 3+ hours out of one versus an hour or less with a pull-up. The Attends are also the only thin diaper that seems to stay up without a onesie, and since they're not cloth-backed you can get away without plastic pants. I wear them under above-the-knee shorts in what would be my usual size and even though I know I'm wearing it I can't tell when I look at myself in the mirror unless it's totally soaked. I do wear pull-ups on a regular basis, but only at home for like 30 minutes with nothing over them to air out after a shower.

I have just recently tried aldi pull ups. Impressed with how much they could hold, but did start to get some leakage at the side when I emptied my bladder. This could of been perhaps too much at once or partly the way I was sitting in a more laid back fashion. Haven't tried a diaper as yet.

Pull-ups are definitely more discrete. If I’m leaving the house in A diaper it will be 9 times out of 10 a pull-up

Is it okay to do pull-ups throughout the day? ›

The muscles can only adapt to the stimuli provided if there is a balance between the phases of stress and rest – you should leave at least 48 hours between two pull-up sessions. This ensures adequate regeneration and 100% muscle performance during the next workout.

What age should a child stop wearing pull-ups during the day? ›

All children get this, especially if they're excited, upset or absorbed in something. By age four years, most children are reliably dry in the day.

                                        What happens if I do 30 pull-ups a day? ›

Performing pullups every day may help increase muscular endurance and form. However, you're more likely to cause injury. Other pullup routines may also be better for building strength. Pullups are a popular and effective exercise for strengthening your upper back and biceps.

How many pull-ups a day to build muscle? ›

Though doing pull-ups on carrying your body weight, it is actually quite effective to build muscles as long as you know how to tweak your program to achieve your muscle-building goals. To build muscles, you need to do between 8 to 15 reps for 3 to 5 sets of pull-ups done 2 to 3x per week.

                                        Is 3 sets of 10 pull-ups good? ›

As a general practice, doing a 3 sets of 8 reps routine with 60-90 seconds rest between sets is a good place to start to stimulate the muscles to grow. You can then progress to 3 sets of 9 reps, 3 sets of 10, and building up all the way to 3 sets of 15 repetitions.

Most children complete potty training by 36 months. The average length it takes toddlers to learn the process is about six months. Girls learn faster, usually completing toilet training two to three months before boys do.

Don't wake your child up to pee when you go to bed. It doesn't help with bedwetting and will just disrupt your child's sleep.

What is the 3 day potty training method? ›

It's a "bare-bottomed" method, meaning that for the first three days after you initiate potty training, your child will need to be naked below the waist anytime they're up and about at home, and wear loose-fitting pants with nothing underneath when they're out or at daycare.

What are the disadvantages of pull-ups? ›

Cons: Higher Difficulty: Pull-ups are generally considered more challenging for beginners due to the wide grip and the requirement of significant upper-body strength. Less Bicep Emphasis: While biceps are engaged during pull-ups, their activation is secondary compared to back muscles.

Are pull-ups good for abs? ›

Many don't realize it, but during the performance of a strict pull-up, your lats, abs and midline have to work together to stabilize the shoulders AND lift the lower body. In terms of building your six-pack abs, strict pull-ups give you a lot of bang for your buck!

Does wearing pull-ups delay potty training? ›

If your child is potty trained but wears a Pulls Up/diaper at night, never having tried a night without them, there may be less incentive to potty train. Achieving nighttime dryness demands connecting their brain with their bladder. If there is a diaper on, there may be less motivation to form this connection.

Do diapers delay potty training? ›

Disposable diapers are highly absorbent, often keeping babies feeling dry even when the diaper is full. As a result, children might not readily recognize the sensation of being wet, causing a delay when transitioning to using the toilet.

When should you stop wearing pull-ups? ›

Pull-ups are a part of potty training, which often begins around age three, depending on the child. Many professionals recommend skipping pull-ups for daytime potty training. Instead, go straight to underwear so your baby understands how it feels when they pee.

Is it okay to spread out workouts throughout the day? ›

Research shows that several shorter workouts throughout the day can be as effective as one continuous workout of the same total time and intensity. So if you're struggling to find time to exercise, consider adding several 10-minute workouts to your day.

Is it better to do pull-ups everyday or every other day? ›

Performing pull ups every day is not recommended for beginner fitness levels. Rest and recovery time is needed to ensure you avoid stress and strain on your joints and muscles. Add pull ups to your regular fitness routine, and perform them every two to three days to see the most benefit.
