I'm wanting to increase how often I wear diapers (not quite 24/7 but close to it) but between finances and the fact that I don't yet feel fully comfortable wearing an ABDL diaper in public (except for going to the convenience store), I'm thinking of going with pull-ups during the day. I live near an ALDI which sells a pack of adult pull-ups for £4 and they get good reviews so I'm going to buy them tomorrow.
What's it like wearing pull-ups? Are they more discreet than the tape-on diapers?

many have described them as granny panties I personally don't use pull-ups due to the fact they don't offer enough protection for my needs

I use the Northshore pull-ups. They are comfy and hold more than most. Check them out.

I've worn pullups outside on multiple occasions (like: the dentist, shopping, internship and just other stuff you do outside.) I don't think people can really tell as long as they are even remotely close to the thickness of what I wore. Could probably just put some boxer shorts over them and no one would be the wiser.
Disclaimer: the pullups I used were those cheap pullup thingies, no thickness at all so to speak.

The Aldi ones are pretty good. I'll often wear them on days that I want to wear, but don't necessarily want to wet. I just enjoy the feeling of having that protection. They're descreet enough that no one would ever notice, theyll hold one good wetting, or several smaller ones.

I wear pullups during the day but they don't hold alot. I normally go through 3 pullups a day and then put on a diaper after I wet my third

If you’re going to use Pull-Ups, Aldi are the ones to get.
They are either a one full wet product or something you can use to empty your bladder into “little and often”.
Just don’t expect them to hold multiple full on floods, and you’ll be fine.

I've also tried Tena Pants Super pull-ups, I'd say they can hold up to two good wettings (not huge wettings) or little and frequent spurts. I sometimes wear them to work too, as I'm not used to wearing diapers at work and my bladder often gets shy there. They're comfortable for me because they give me a chance to use the toilet if I'm afraid of leaks or whatever.

Yeah the tena slip ons are comfy and soft but will only hold like 2 medium wettings. I love goodnites but I usually don't buy them because they won't fit my partner. Pullups are more discrete than tape but as others have mentioned they aren't as effective or satisfying from a dl perspective.

I don’t like the look or feel of any adult pull ups I’ve tried but I love goodnights and luckily I can still just barely fit into the XL ones. If I plan to actually wet them not at home I’ll put a thick poise pad in them as they really don’t hold more than one wetting

I use drylife maxi pull ups when out and about. They're a lot more discreet and comfortable enough.
The claimed capacity is 2200 ml, so enough for two big wettings.

Thin diapers will be more discrete and less likely to leak than pull-ups. Wet pull-ups have a really noticeable crotch bulge that will basically make you waddle once they get really wet. Even a cheap diaper will wick more than a decent pull-up, because with pull-ups the padding is all in the crotch. In my experience people are way more likely to notice you walking funny from a wet pull-up between your legs than the the bulge from a wet diaper. If your actually going to be using them and changing to avoid leaks, diapers will probably be more affordable too. I'm incontinent and for running errands or exercise I still sometimes wear the plastic-backed Attends (with three tapes) that alot of ABDL people seem to hate for being to thin. But they work and they're cheap and I can get 3+ hours out of one versus an hour or less with a pull-up. The Attends are also the only thin diaper that seems to stay up without a onesie, and since they're not cloth-backed you can get away without plastic pants. I wear them under above-the-knee shorts in what would be my usual size and even though I know I'm wearing it I can't tell when I look at myself in the mirror unless it's totally soaked. I do wear pull-ups on a regular basis, but only at home for like 30 minutes with nothing over them to air out after a shower.

I have just recently tried aldi pull ups. Impressed with how much they could hold, but did start to get some leakage at the side when I emptied my bladder. This could of been perhaps too much at once or partly the way I was sitting in a more laid back fashion. Haven't tried a diaper as yet.

Pull-ups are definitely more discrete. If I’m leaving the house in A diaper it will be 9 times out of 10 a pull-up

Does wearing daily increase the need to wear?
